Hi Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Reese Hitch Cargo basket in the back for a 2024 ram 1500. Now this will be a great option for you if you're running outta space in your bed, especially since we got the ram box on here. So you're already gonna be limited on space anyways, or if you have any items that you don't wanna put back here, anything like if you go hunting and you get some game and you don't want in the back bleeding all over the place, there's gonna be a great spot to put it. Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at how the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier fits on a 2019 Ram 1500. There's a bunch of different cargo carriers, this specific one is gonna be mid-size. We have an interior dimension of 47 1/4 inches for length as well as 20 1/2 inches for width, or I guess the other way around, depending on how you measure things. Now, you might wonder, "Why would you want a cargo carrier for your truck" Well, maybe your truck bed's already full, maybe you've already got it fully loaded with other things, or sometimes some people like to get the cargo carriers for their smaller or heavier items just because it's easier to reach here rather than having to lower the tailgate, open the tonneau cover, grab from your truck bed. So whatever the reason is, we'll talk about how it fits on this specific truck. So how much length does it add to the back of the truck Well, measuring from our bumper, right over there to the end of the carrier, we have it at 29 1/2 inches. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Ram 2500 we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Now although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing we're going to do here is take a few measurements, starting off with our ground clearance. To the bottom of our bolt here we're going to have about 25-1/2". Overall to our vehicle we're adding about 28-1/2". more

Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 48" x 21" Cargo Carrier. That part number is MT70422. This is designed to work with 2" hitches only. Although it does have a very high weight capacity of 500 lbs., it is very lightweight. It's made out of aluminum, so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. Today on this 2016 Ram 1500, we're going to be test-fitting the 23x60 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier, part number CC-100. This cargo carrier has a 500 pound weight capacity. It also has this nice mesh flooring which actually makes it easier to clean after you take your cargo out. It also has these tie-downs periodically around the borders of the cargo carrier. Let's go ahead and give you some measurements here. First off, we're going to give you the total distance added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier's installed. Measure from the bumper and right to about here, that's going to be 29 inches. The ground clearance, that's to be this point here, that's going about 16 and a half inches. more

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ram 1500- Video
On this 2016 Ram 1500 we're going to be test fitting the 48x21 max tow cargo carrier. Part number MT70422. Let's take a look at this real quick. It's made from this nice sturdy aluminium. Very easy to clean and it has little lips and holes round here that you can use as tie down points. We have a couple up in the front and a couple up in the rear. Today, in this 2016 Ram 1500 we're going to be test fitting the folding 20 by 60 CURT Cargo Carrier, part number C18151. As you can see we have it installed already. A couple of features of it, it has a nice mesh floor here which is going to make it a lot easier to clean when you take your items off. It also has this rail all the way around it, which you can use as a tie down point for all your straps which you can find at etrailer.com. Next, I'm going to give you some measurements here. Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Ram 1500 c18150- Video
Today on this 2016 Ram 1500, we're going to be test fitting the 20x60 Curt cargo carrier, Part Number C18150. This cargo carrier has a 500 pound carrying capacity, and it also has this nice mesh floor which makes it a lot easier to clean once you take the items off that you've been carrying. It also has this rail all the way around the cargo carrier which can actually serve as tie-down points for your straps, which you can find here at Etrailer.com. Now I'm going to go ahead and give you a few measurements here to kind of give you an idea of how much distance has been added to the vehicle once the cargo carrier is installed. I'm going to go ahead and measure from the bumper, so to about here, you're adding about 30 inches. Then we're going to go ahead and do the ground clearance, which is going to be about this point here, it's going to be about 19-3/4 inches. Now the closest point to the bumper, this plate here, and that's going to be about 9 inches. Now with this vehicle, the exhaust is actually on the passenger side and faces away from the cargo carrier. more

Today on our 2012 Ram 2500, we've got out the Maxxtow Cargo Carrier, we're going to do a test fit on it. Now this is a 48 by 21 aluminum cargo carrier. It's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches and has a weight capacity of up to 500 pounds. Part number on it is MT70422. Now the Maxxtow Cargo Carrier as you can see it's got one of the slot style floors in it gives us really good full coverage there. It's going to allow us to support some of the larger items. more

Today on our 2012 Ram 2500 we've got the Stromberg Carlson 23x60 Cargo Carrier out. We're going to do a test fit on it. This cargo carrier has been designed for use in 2 inch hitches and it offers a weight capacity of 500 pounds. Part number on it is CC-100. As you can see we've got a nice, large, expanded steel-type floor. It's smooth, it doesn't have the edges that stick up, so we won't have to worry about damage or anything. That's going to offer a lot of room for dirt and debris, moisture and things like that to fall down and off of our carrier. more

Today on our 2012 Ram 2500, we've got the Curt 24 x 60 Folding Cargo Carrier out. We're going to do a test fit on it and see how it matches up with the vehicle. This is going to have a nice, kind of a medium sized expanded steel floor. Plenty of room for dirt, debris, moisture . Stuff like that to fall down and out. It's not going to build up on top of the carrier and cause any type of corrosion. As you can see, we're going to have a nice raised edge. more

Today on our 2012 Ram 1500 we're going to be doing a test fit of the Detail K2. This is going to be your 20 by 60" cargo carrier. It's going to be a steel construction with a 500 pound weight capacity and a 2" shank for your 2" hitches and class three hitches. Going to be part number K2HCC602. Let's go ahead and place it into our 2" receiver that we have here today. Insert the shank into the receiver, slide it in, and line up your pinholes. Rola Dart Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Ram 1500- Video
Today on our 2015 Ram 1500 we're going to be doing the test fit of the Rola Dart cargo carrier. This is a 23 by 56" rack with a 2" receiver, and it's going to be part number 59550. This has a 450 weight capacity and a solid steel construction. We'll go ahead and get these pinholes lined up. Once you have them lined up we're going to go ahead and take your supplied anti-rattle bolt and thread that in. Once you get that threaded in as far as you can by hand, go ahead and take a regular ratchet with an 1-1/16" socket. more
